CVF Event 2019

I used to put together a little round-up of entrepreneurial ecosystem events in New Mexico, but between different jobs and other responsibilities, that sort of drifted away. Since I feel obligated to collect them anyway, here are a few New Mexico events I think you should be aware of:

Wanna Be a BCorp? (Tuesday 2/25; 5:30–7:00 PM)
The Alley, 153 Paseo De Peralta, Santa Fe NM
Santa Fe Innovates is launching an accelerator in Santa Fe to helpf advance startups with a vision of social good. As part of ramping up, they’re producing some great events too. Tuesday night’s event features special guests from a few local Benefit Corporations who’ll discuss the paths they’ve taken and “how business can be a platform for good and growth.”

Entrepreneurial Wednesday: 1MCABQ & TechNavABQ (Wednesdays; 9:00–10:00 AM; 10:00–11:00 AM)
FatPipeABQ, 200 Broadway Ave., NE, Albuquerque NM
Wednesdays are usually pretty full of entrepreneurial events in Albuquerque and 1 Million Cups is a key piece in that. This weekly event (~49 times each year) features an entrepreneur or two telling their business story: who they are, why they started their business, what it does, how it makes money and how we might be able to help. More at 1mcabq.com
1 Million Cups is nearly always followed by TechNavABQ office hours: a program from City Alive ABQ that offers assistance for entrepreneurs who want to connect with Science, Tech and other local resources.

High Tech Consortium of Southern NM: Del Mackey (Wednesday, 2/26; 4:30–6:00 PM)
Arrowhead Center, 3655 Research Rd., Las Cruces, NM
The High Tech Consortium of Southern New Mexico helps bring together, develop and promote technology business in the southern parts of New Mexico. For this event, they’ve invide Del Mackey, a Senior Economic Development Officer at Arrowhead Center to share info on resources like SBIR and STTR as well as other strategies to help move your innovation or research toward a commercial product.
